Professor Samaria Witherspoon is originally from South Carolina, but currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. Professor Witherspoon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, CEO of Hidden to Healing and mentor. At Hidden to Healing, she provides individual, couples, group and family counseling to those that are struggling with trauma, depression, aggression, grief, substance abuse, and behavioral and emotional issues. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Education in School Psychology and Counseling Services from Howard University in Washington, DC. Professor Witherspoon is also a two-time self-published author, "Uncovering Toxic Journey's" and the 2022-2023 Monthly Planner and Goals. Prof Witherspoon believes that every individual has the potential to live a positive and meaningful life, which she emphasizes through her work as a professor, private practice and various mentorship opportunities.
